Vision 2009
On Wednesday 7th January, fourteen FGBMFI people got together to pray and seek God for the vision of the FGBMFI in 2009:
* To run the events already planned:
* To join with other FGBMFI groups (mainly Ripon, Sheffield and Selby) to launch into Leeds - start with some prayer events in the City leading onto finding a suitable venue for regular Dinner Events.
* To re-focus Wednesday night meetings on prayer and sharing what God is doing in our lives. The Wednesday nights before the Dinner Evening to have a particular prayer and worship focus for the dinner.
* To re-launch 5 minute stories of what God is doing as part of the Dinner Evenings.
* To see 100 people become Christians.
* To increase membership and membership commitment at events such as Dinners and Piece Hall.
* To look at other ideas for outreach such as Lunch-time Meetings, Coffee House Meetings (possibly working with the Salvation Army to run a Sunday afternoon event in Costa Coffee / Cafe Nero) and Saturday Breakfast / Brunch events, possibly around a Men's Creche (whilst the wife is shopping!)
* To see people healed.
* To look at the Spiritual atmosphere in the Dinner Meetings - ie worship, prayer at the venue before the dinner, etc.
* To run the events already planned:
- Firesowers - February 2009
- Bi-Monthly Dinners at The Raggalds (February, April, June, August, October and December)
